Customer Reviews of Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse Bake and Roast Pan with Rack
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't waste your money Comment: I bought this pan assuming it was dishwasher safe, as indicated in the description. However, it is the most fragile pan I've ever used. It scratches even when you just put the rack in it gently. If I could give it a zero star rating, I would. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't bother Comment: I am disappointed with the quality of this pan. I haven't even used it yet and the rack has scratched through the black coating. It is NOT dishwasher safe as the description says. Spend a little more money and get a quality roasting pan! More Reviews This rounded, hard-plastic roaster looks primed for a Thanksgiving turkey, or to be heaped with seasonal vegetables and a hearty winter roast: perhaps a garlic-crusted pork loin, marinated rack of lamb, or venison basted in black-currant liquor. Nearly 3 inches deep, the pan can be used alone or with the wire rack that insets almost 2 inches and rests along the roaster rim. Roast chops, fish, or chicken breasts atop the rack and the fat and juices will drip away from the food. Rack handles facilitate transfer to table or serving platter. --Carol Gnojewski Choosing Appliance -> Energy-Efficient Refrigerators The EnergyGuide label on new refrigerators will tell you how much electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) a particular model uses in one year. The smaller the number, the less energy the refrigerator uses and the less it will cost you to operate. In addition to the EnergyGuide label, don't forget to look for the Energy Star label. A new refrigerator with an Energy Star label will save you between $35 and $70 a year compared to the models designed 15 years ago. This adds up to between $525 and $1,050 during the average 15-year life of the unit. Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse Bake and Roast Pan with Rack Useful info -> Food Waste Disposers Installing a food waste disposer is an ideal way to let you spend more time doing the things you want to do around the home and less time worrying about what to do with your messy unwanted food waste. With putrescible waste (kitchen food scraps) accounting for 25% of household waste, using a food waste disposer not only means fewer trips to the wheelie bin but also results in a substantial reduction of waste going to landfill. |
