Customer Reviews of Taylor Classic Candy and Deep-Fry Analog Thermometer
Customer Rating: Summary: What more could you want? Comment: I bought this item at a local (nationally owned) grocery store in a pinch because I wanted to try my hand at making my own potato chips. I'd wanted something like this before because i like to fry foods and do a lot of outdoor cooking with my turkey fryer. I've used quite a few times now, and I wonder where all the negative stink (AKA, reviews) is coming from. I've noticed no disappearance of markings (something that seems to bother a lot of reviewers of lots of other fine items that I've never experienced. It's extremely accurate and couldn't be easier to use. The best part? The price!!! So what if the markings (if you really need them, scratch them onto the metal yourself) wear off for whatever reason. Go buy a new one. Perhaps you could get some other product that does a little better, but at what price. I find something like this that I don't use that often to be perfect for what I need it for. Customer Rating: Summary: A thermometer without #'s is No Good Comment: The numbers rub/washed off after two sessions. However, since I use it so rarely, it was too late to send back. Customer Rating: Summary: Dependable Thermometer Comment: I got this temperature indicator because I needed one that immersed in the hot oil without hitting the bottom of the pan and was protected from breakage. I also needed one that responded quickly to temperature changes and this one does just that. The cost was reasonable, while others seemed way overpriced. Customer Rating: Summary: Taylor Classic Candy Thermometer Comment: I use this product frequently the only problem is that the lettering rapidly wipes away. Customer Rating: Summary: Numbers washed OFF! Comment: After having washed this thermometer in the top rack of the dishwasher (which I'm pretty sure the packaging said was okay), all the numbers indicating temperature smudged completely off. Other than being completely numberless, it's a great design! More Reviews
12" Stainless Steel Confectionery/Deep Fry Thermometer, Pan Clip, Cool Grip Black Plastic Handle, -100 To 400 & Degree F & -40 To 200 & Degree, C Zoned Scale. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. Taylor Classic Candy and Deep-Fry Analog Thermometer Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
