Customer Reviews of FoodSaver 1-Gallon Size Bags, 32 Bags
Customer Rating: Summary: FOOD SAVER GALLON SIZE BAGS Comment: I use these bags constantly. They are ideal for freezing larger cuts of meat, fish and vegetables. These bags are must haves for wholesale shoppers. I have even sealed documents for safekeeping in them. Best of all I only discard the ones that I seal meat in or when they start to deteriorate from repeated use. Customer Rating: Summary: Would give it zero stars if possible Comment: I have no problems with the Foodsaver rolls ... those seem to work flawlessly. These pre-made bags, however, have been next to worthless. Perhaps I just received a bad batch but only about one out of every 5 bag will even begin to evacuate much less hold a seal. Those that do evacuate typical lose their seals after a while. I'm sticking with the rolls from now on. One positive is that I can use the box these came in to store bags I've made from the rolls for later reuse. Other than that, these bags have been frustrating in the extreme! Customer Rating: Summary: Space saver Comment: For all of you using Ziploc or Glad freezer bags, do yourself a favor & invest in a Foodsaver & the bags. They have increased my freezer space 50% & I don't throw away any freezer burned food anymore. I've used the bags for about 2 years now & the freshness & quality is just like it was when I froze items. I'm hooked on them. I highly recommend them for freezing your spring, summer produce. Customer Rating: Summary: FoodSaver bags Comment: I keep meats in the freezer for months and they are as fresh as when I sealed them in FoodSaver bags no freezer burn or off taste as with Zip type bags. Customer Rating: Summary: Highly recommend Comment: If you never have used a food saver, you are really missing out! The bags are pricey, but they are worth having. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Dryer When shopping for a new clothes dryer, look for one with a moisture sensor that automatically shuts off the machine when your clothes are dry. Not only will this save energy, it will save wear and tear on your clothes caused by over-drying. Keep in mind that gas dryers are less expensive to operate than electric dryers. The cost of drying a typical load of laundry in an electric dryer is 30 to 40 cents compared to 15 to 25 cents in a gas dryer. FoodSaver 1-Gallon Size Bags, 32 Bags Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maintain Electrical Safely The insulation on electrical cords can become damaged by wear, flexing, or age. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
