Customer Rating:  Summary: I'm so glad I bought this dinnerware! Comment: I bought my Mikassa Arabella dinnerware at least 10 years ago in a base exchange in Germany where there wasn't much of a selection but I loved it at first glance. I have added pieces over the years and learned last year that it is one of their most popular patterns. I'm not surprised! The pieces are very versatile: good for everyday yet nice enough for company. Only one plate has been broken despite years of hand washing! The colors are just as nice today as when I bought the original pieces. They do go in the microwave, dishwasher, and oven. I am still please when I set a table with this dinnerware; they are in my colors, so I will likely have this pattern for the rest of my life. Customer Rating:  Summary: Pretty but it chips Comment: We registered for Arabella for our wedding. Two years later, I still think it's pretty, and I like the weight and feel of it, but some of our pieces have chiped (especially the bowls). Overall, it's not a bad choice, but be aware that's it's not as durable as it could be and be careful of the rims. Customer Rating: Summary: my use report Comment: I have had a service for 8 for about 10 years, and use it as my everyday dishes (but mostly only one person is eating, so in this respect the use is not really heavy). The only problem is you need to stack them in the dishwasher so they don't touch other stoneware pieces, as they can chip if banged just right. I chipped one piece very quickly this way and one other as I put it in the cabinet by knocking edges of pieces together (pretty hard) by not lifting the plate quite high enough for the stack. Both chips are on the underside, right under the pattern ring, so they do not show from the top but do from the side. Mikasa states that the glaze is hard enough so if you get knife marks on the surface of a plate you can use abrasive to get the mark off. Customer Rating: Summary: A Lovely Table Setting Comment: I chose this set over just over five years ago, when registering for my wedding. I don't use it often enough, but when I do, I congratulate myself for chosing a pattern that I still love. It's classy. It's sturdy. It's definately not boring, like the single gold/silver ring around the dish that was popular at the time. I'm glad to see it at Amazon.com. I hope others make the same great choice I did. Customer Rating: Summary: Absolutely wonderful Comment: I've had this pattern for over 10 years. It has been used every day for every meal. In all that use, I've chipped one small plate and one large plate. It goes with everything. I've changed table cloths, napkins, candle holders - you name it, it's changed over 10 years. I own all the accessory pieces, too, and still want more. I'm on my second husband, but my first Arabella! However modern machines use less water, detergent and power than ever before and wash hotter using really powerful cleaners giving a hygienic wash result. You can save around 500 hours a year so it is worth thinking about. If you have a small kitchen or live alone, choose a slimline model. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers By law manufacturers must disclose the energy efficiency of their appliances, rated A to G. These are usually displayed prominently in showrooms.
