Customer Rating:   Summary: Lovely and fragile Comment: I love this pattern; my wife and I almost have a full set. But I gotta say: the packing job they do when they ship this is *HORRIBLE*. We had three in a row that arrived broken. The set comes in a small box built to optimize space (so that it can be sent to stores), inside a bigger box with a few plastic airbags for company---hitting the box from almost any side (except the one side with airbags) will break the plates. If you don't want the hassle of returning this thing constantly, I recommend getting this stuff from an actual store where you can open the box and make sure it's all in one piece. Customer Rating: Summary: very pretty china, bad packaging/handling Comment: i ordered this setting as well and when i received it, one of the plates was broken. unfortunately, by the time i actually got around to picking the parcel up from my US shipping place, it was too late for me to send the product back. as the previous person mentioned. the china itself is beautiful, but the people at amazon really need to package their fragile items better! Comment: Unfortunately, this five piece place setting arrived broken, and was so poorly packed that I was surprised all five pieces weren't smashed. Amazon quickly sent me a replacement, but it too was broken, and packed the same flimsy way. They eventually ended up reimbursing me and I had to run to the local department store to get the setting. The customer service was excellent, but I would get my china from a site that specializes in such fragile things, or pick it up in person from a local store. The china itself is lovely. More Reviews A broad band of platinum is etched with interlaced arches (or hearts depending on your perspective), and slender silvery rings suggest soft echoes on a ground of warm ivory. 
Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers By law manufacturers must disclose the energy efficiency of their appliances, rated A to G. These are usually displayed prominently in showrooms. Useful info -> Is stainless steel really stainless? Choose a good quality sink to avoid problems later. Buy cheap and you will discover that stainless steel can stain and even rust! Mild acids such as vinegar will promote rust in stainless steel where the nickel content is low. Stronger acids such as those used by photo processors will have a detrimental effect on all stainless steels. |
