Customer Reviews of Windchaser OCWR161 16-Inch Remote Control Wall/Ceiling Fan
Customer Rating: Summary: Repeat buyer Comment: This is the second Windchaser fan that I have purchased. The first one lasted about 6 years. My kids use them in their bedrooms for circulation and cooling every night. The timer is nice if they don't want them to run all night long. Customer Rating: Summary: Just OK Comment: The features of the fan are nice on paper and it was easy to setup. I don't find it very powerful and the area it covers seems smaller than other fans I've owned. I would try a different product next time. Customer Rating: Summary: Its Great. Comment: Thank you for the product. It was fast and on time. The fan works great. I use it every night. Thank You Again...Bruce. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't waste your money! Comment: I bought a Windchaser Wall/Ceiling fan in February of 2006, and installed it in June of that year. It ran OK (if somewhat underpowered) until about October of 2007, then quit. The manufacturer won't do anything about it - I believe that a ninety-nine dollar fan should last longer than this one did, or have a robust enough warranty to cover it when it doesn't. Don't waste your money - it's a piece of junk. Customer Rating: Summary: Remotes Stop Working and Fan Becomes Useless Comment: We bought 3 of these fans, and 2 of them are completely useless now because the remotes stopped working. There is no way to operate the fan without the remote, which I find ridiculous. We even tried a universal remote, but even that didn't work. Even more frustrating...the fan WILL turn on (when I don't want it to) while I'm using my TELEVISION remote. Nice. Look for a fan that works with OR WITHOUT a remote. More Reviews With its broad grille, sweeping arc, and remote control operation, this 16-inch mountable fan from WindChaser keeps rooms cool and well circulated without taking up floor space. Designed for mounting to the wall or ceiling, the fan is controlled by a microprocessor that creates a steady flow of air or ebbs and flows with the feel of a natural breeze. In addition to its 10 speed settings, the fan operates in a fixed position or oscillates in an oval pattern for maximum coverage. A timer makes the unit even handier, allowing you to keep it running for one-, two-, four-, and eight-hour intervals. A slim remote control with a clear, readable face controls all of these functions, as well as the fan’s vertical tilt. Sturdy and quiet, the fan comes with a child-safe radial grille and whisper-quiet blades. WindChaser includes all mounting hardware, a three-year warranty on the motor, and a one-year warranty on all parts. The remote control requires two AAA batteries, which are included. --Emily Bedard Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens The standard 60cm oven has been joined by various other sizes. Now consumers can choose from 60,70 and 90cm wide built-in single ovens. Always check the internal capacity shown in litres as well as the external dimensions. Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible. Also, you should consider buying a non-stick silicon sheet: they make baking very easy! Windchaser OCWR161 16-Inch Remote Control Wall/Ceiling Fan Useful info -> Hobs Hobs are becoming a style point in modern kitchens, and accordingly available in all colours, stainless steel and interesting designs. Wide hobs, multi-fuels (electric and gas) and five or six ring burners offer flexibility but consider your usage before choosing - If your kitchen accommodates more than one cook at once, position the hob away from the oven, that way you don't get in each other's way. |
