Customer Reviews of KitchenAid Jar Opener, White
Customer Rating: Summary: Wife is happy. Well designed, looks good too Comment: My wife has trouble with some jars. Who doesn't. This one will handle most jobs and save a lot of grunting. Good price. Attractive design. And I can't fault it in any way for a kitchen tool. Why suffer, buy one and see for yourself, Customer Rating: Summary: indispensable kitchen tool Comment: Forget those rubber floppy "grips" or the plastic toothed band...this is the product every kitchen must have for opening those stubborn jars. It has several different layers of steel-toothed grips at different diameters, and will grasp from the tiniest to the largest jar cap that I have found. (Along with this, be sure to purchase the jarpop jar opener...a VERY handy device that pops the vacuum that holds the lid down, when you have a previously unopened jar.) This tool also helps if a jar has been in the refrigerator and gets slippery from the cold and moisture when taken out. I have had one of these tools for several years, and recently bought several to give to friends. Once you have this you will wonder why you waited to long to discover this great tool! Customer Rating: Summary: A Great tool to have around for those pesky jars Comment: The KitchenAid Jar Opener does just what it is supposed to: open jars. The thing I love about this, is when you hold it, you can tell it is quality made, and the enamel finish also looks very nice. The jar opener itself has four different "holes" to open up ANY size jar. From the tiniest eye dropper bottle, to the biggest jar in your home, this thing can handle it. I gave it "4" stars because I think 20 bucks is just a tad over-rated for a jar opener, but when you just simply can't do it yourself, this is here to help. One last point I would like to make, is that this is GREAT for someone you know who has arthritis, or who has trouble using their hands to open things like jars..this is where it can come in very handy as a friendly present toward them! Customer Rating: Summary: A must have gadget! Comment: This is an excellent jar opener. Use it right side up for large and small size jars and flip it over for medium size jars. All you do is grip it on the jar, firmly hold the handles and twist. Your jar will be open in a blink. It has teeth that grip but do not damage the cover. I have not been disappointed with any of the new line of KitchenAid tools and gadgets and I am sure you won't be either. They are excellent quality and made to last. Definitely a gadget must have! More Reviews You've twisted, you've banged, you've tapped, maybe you've even cursed, just a little, and still that darn lid won't part company with the jar. Don't give up! The KitchenAid jar opener will have the top off in a jiffy, with just a small amount of elbow grease. Choosing Appliance -> Choosing Appliance -> Taps Dual-flow mixers provide independent hot, cold or mixed water after leaving the end of the spout. They can be deck-mounted on the sink or pillar/bridge-mounted for a more traditional look. Alternatively, choose a monobloc tap, which is a single-hole fitting that usually has two handles for hot and cold water supply. KitchenAid Jar Opener, White Kitchen tips -> Chopping and Mincing When you want to finely chop foods such as: onions, garlic, parsley, or other items, pivot your knife by keeping the tip of the knife on the cutting surface at all times and hold the knife at an angle, about 95' angle, towards the hand holding the tip. This way, you use the blade to push and keep the food particles down, thus making them easier to chop. If the knife should slip, then the sharp side of the blade will slide away from where you're working, and away from your other hand and fingers. In addition, you make less noise, as compared to when raising and lowering the knife of the cutting surface trying to mince foods. |
