Customer Reviews of Rowenta DA-35 Latitude 35 Compact Iron with Dual Voltage for Travel
Customer Rating: Summary: great quilting iron Comment: I bought this iron to keep by my sewing machine while quilting. It is lightweight and gets nice and hot. My regular iron is much heavier and I was starting to experience shoulder pain from rotating my arm around while sitting to grab the iron to press a quilting piece. I had tried one of those crafting irons (the one with the little triangular tip) but it was awkward and stopped working after two uses. I really like my new Rowenta iron! Customer Rating: Summary: Rowenta iron Comment: Needed to return because cruise line would not permit use on board ship. Return process was excellent and as advertised. Customer Rating: Summary: Hot and compact Comment: I love this little iron especially for quilting. Its compact so it doesn't get in the way. I do a lot of applique and its perfect for ironing the small pieces to freezer paper. It also gets hot enough to fuse adhesives. The handle folds out of the way and the whole thing fits in a bag to carry to classes. I bought it to replace my Clover Craft iron which never got hot enough. I'm glad I did. Customer Rating: Summary: Rowenta DA-35 Latitude 35 Compact Iron Comment: This Iron is perfect for what I wanted it for. I needed a small steam iron. It has a folding handle and makes lots of steam. I highley recommend you buy this iron if you want a small and light steam iron. And the price is great. Buy it. Customer Rating: Summary: Surprisingly effective with Rowenta Quality! Comment: I bought this travel iron for a recent trip where I knew I'd need to press some clothes for appropriate business attire, but didn't have any assurance that where I'd be staying would have an iron to use. The price was reasonable and the size is completely appropriate for travel. I've owned Rowenta irons before and they tend to be good work horses, but prior to using this little iron I wasn't sure what to expect. To my surprise, it worked fantastic. The handle folds in for easy transport and both it and the included filling cup fit nicely in the black travel bag. Filling the iron is easy and it stands well as it heats up. I was surprised at how fast it heated up and how well it maintained the heat. Pressing my clothes was easy and done in a flash. I have not yet used it on completely synthetic fabrics, but it made fast work on my cotton and cotton/poly blends. In fact, I'd even go as far to say that it out performed the conventional standard iron I have at home! For such a little iron, it has a good solid feel to it without adding too much to your luggage weight. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone considering a travel iron. Good luck! More Reviews The Rowenta DA-35 Latitude Travel Iron combines an efficient, lightweight design with powerful performance and great looks. Operating with finesse and aplomb at both 120 and 240 Volts, the DA-35 is the ideal travel iron. Folding handle lies flat for travel or storage 2.5 ounce capacity transparent water tank conveniently located in handle Includes travel bag Power - 1000 Watts; 120 / 240 Volts; 50 / 60 Hertz Dimensions - 4.5H x 3W x 8D; weighs 1.75 pounds UL Listed One year warranty Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot.
