Customer Reviews of Oregon Scientific Travel Clock with Calendar
Customer Rating: Summary: Everything it promises Comment: I have owned this clock for a few months now, and have found it remarkable. I recently turned it on while in the Berkshire Mountains. I was not expecting it to receive information from the atomic clock, and was pleased with the easy manual-set option. But, sure enough, 36 hours later it had synchronized and has been 100% on time ever since. One pleasant surprise: when the clock is in its standing position (folded, not flat), a light tap to the top of the clock turns on the backlight for a few seconds. This is due to the clever placement of the backlight button. I love this feature because I can roll over, swing for the clock, and head back to sleep without having to fumble for a button. The clock is lightweight and folds into a flat position; it comes with a soft travel case to protect the screen. In a product such as this, all one can ask is that it works as it claims; Oregon Scientific delivers tremendously. Customer Rating: Summary: Look elsewhere Comment: I purchased this item to replace a very tiny and easy to use travel alarm clock I have used for many years. I travel more than 100,000 miles a year, and began looking for something both relatively small but especially something easy to use. I didn't need a lot of bells, buzzers, and whistles. I received the clock and it appeared relatively straight forward. Trying it at home before traveling the clock re-adjusted time zones repeatedly. I seriously doubt my night stand is moving time zones, so this appeared to be the first glitch. After traveling to a near by city by air (within the same time zone) the clock simply died. It is less than a month old. I would suggest you look elsewhere and not consider something that has multiple issues. Customer Rating: Summary: LOVE IT! Comment: I bought this Travel Alarm Clock because my husband I need to wake at diffrent times and the other alarm wasn't working out. The alarm didn't go off at times because the wrong time was set among other things. I needed alarm clock of my own. Oregon Scientific Travel Clock is wonderful. It is easy change alarm if you need wake up at a diffrent time than normal and the set back again. I love that the alarm starts off quietly and then get louder. It easy to put it on sleep and has a easy way to push a blue light on to see what time in the night. For both you just need to push a lightly button. You do need the directions to firgure out how to set the time and alarm but after that it's very easy. Customer Rating: Summary: Atomic Clock Comment: It is excellent at keeping time. Not one problem with it so far, and it keeps me on time with my clients. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Little Travel Clock Comment: I've had this clock for over 5 years. Advantages: light, small , easy to check time in the dark (by tapping the clock gently), easy to snooze (same tap), and automatic time setting. Disadvantage: no thermometer, no intl time zones, and a bit fragile. My youngest son got hold of it and broke the backstand off. Interestingly though, the clock itself still works fine (my wife has adopted it). Extremely good value . . . this is a lot of clock for the money. Also look for tough, lightweight nylon or graphite racks with cushioned tips that protect glassware and cookware. Weimer recommends choosing a model with a rack design that provides the largest, most flexible interior space and is configured for your belongings, including odd-shaped pieces. Choosing Appliance -> Sinks Consider which accessories might be beneficial. Many models can be supplied with a draining basket, chopping board and strainer bowls. A drainer extension can be useful for sinks without a drainer where worktop space is limited in a small kitchen.
