Customer Reviews of Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Blender Comment: Have used this bender a number of times and it works wonderfully. Lots of power, crushes ice in no time. It is a little loud, but as long as it does it's job that is not a problem for me. Customer Rating: Summary: Best Blender Ever Comment: This is the best Blender we have ever bought, and we've bought a few. The metal base makes all the difference. No more shopping around for blenders every year. This one is a keeper. Customer Rating: Summary: I love this blender! Comment: Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome After 25+ years, it was time to retire the old blender, so I did some Internet sleuthing and decided on the Oster Beehive Classic. All I can say is wow! This blender rocks. Sure, it doesn't have the bells and whistles of some other brands, but what it doesn't have you don't need. Trust me on this. On and Off are the key items. The powerful motor blends anything effortlessly. Adult drinks with ice, smoothies, sauces. It's a breeze to operate and easy to clean. The sturdy base is tip proof and the glass workbowl/container has the handle on the end, giving you a perfect pouring spout on the diagonal. I guarantee you will love the Oster Classic. Customer Rating: Summary: Mine's better than yours! Comment: I just bought the Hamilton Beach 52277 Classic Chrome 12-Speed Blender, Silver (for under six bills with shipping) to replace an aging but still working Osteriser (that had lasted two decades). With 800 watts, my new one is far more powerful. I also like the glass jar (as my Oster had) for being able to blend hot soups. The heavier Hamilton lid is very flexible but somehow survives the dishwasher without any softening (unlike the Oster). Moreover, the gear teeth the jar sits on are straight (rather than angled - what was starting to regularly slip on the Oster) for a better fit. Even though I rarely use more than fast, slow, and pulse (the Hamilton blender has ten speeds and pulse), I'm glad I picked this one over the Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome with its noisier but weaker 500 watts, the need to handwash a loose fitting lid, and just two speeds (on and pulse). Finally, I have not seen any undue splashing as others have commented elsewhere from the new "Wave-Action" blade (as others have also complained about the new Oster blade). I'm posting this review here as a comparison for those considering this chrome Oster blender. Customer Rating: Summary: Beehive Blender Comment: This is a good basic blender. I like the Pulse functionality a lot. It has done a fine job so far. We'll see how long it lasts. It is a good value, though I'm really looking forward to a Vit-a-mix oneday. More Reviews Give your kitchen a modern appliance with retro styling. Enjoy healthy fruit smoothies in the a.m. and less innocent beverages in the p.m. The continuous speed and pulse along with a stainless steel cutting blade will have your ingredients chopped, blended, and purEed in next to no time. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maintain Electrical Safely The insulation on electrical cords can become damaged by wear, flexing, or age. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
