Customer Reviews of Tupperware Season-Serve Marinating Container
Customer Rating: Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5
Summary: Great piece of tupperware...but for marinades? I dont know
Comment: I bought this when I got tired of marinating in plates, bowls and mismatched plastic ware. I liked it. Tupperware is a great product, lasts forever (If you dont believe me, look at all the wintage tupperware on auction sites) washes well and over time will eventually become cost effective.

Having said all that...sometime after buying and using it, happily...I found that marinating meats (this doesnt work as well with chicken on the bone) is much easier and space saving if i put my meat and marinade in a ziploc...get all the air out and seal it. It takes up much less room in the fridge and requires alot less turning because when you remove the air the marinade surrounds the meat (depending on the thickness) more effectively.

I would say this is a good tupperware product if you need something of this size for multiple uses..and can justify using it many times for many things. I wouldnt buy it just for use to marinade or just for storage. I think if i had to buy it again..I would want to be able to say that I could use it several times a week for storing (baked good, maybe deli, snacks) marinading, transporting items...etc. I think that is the only way this would make a *solid* purchase.

Summary: A Marinaders Dream!
Comment: I own two of these and would recommend them to anyone who is serious about marinading. The insides of the double lids have raised 'knobs' allowing for the marinade to fully coat the food. Another great feature is that you just turn the container over to marinade on the opposite side. When done grilling, it also serves as a great container to keep food warm, serve from and even to store leftovers in the fridge. Two thumbs up!

Summary: Marinate and save
Comment: Using the Tupperware Season-serve you can save money by buying and marinating tougher cuts of meat. The design allows the use of less marinade to still coat the large quantities the marinator holds. It's easy to use and works perfectly for what it was designed for.

More Reviews Ideal for thoroughly marinating meat, fish, and vegetables, this container ensures a marinade envelopes food and flips over for redistributing the marinade. Two features make this possible. First, the blue seal locks onto the base and prevents leaks when the container is turned over. Second, seal and base have grids of raised pyramid shapes in their bottoms, allowing a marinade to reach the underside of food. Because the seal is virtually airtight, the container can also be used for storing food and keeping it fresh or for transporting picnic fare. It measures 12-1/2 inches long, 10-1/2 inches wide, and 4-1/2 inches high. Virtually unbreakable and dishwasher-safe, Tupperware carries a lifetime warranty against chipping, cracking, breaking, and peeling. --Fred Brack

Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers
Check the capacity. 'Standard' 60cm wide dishwashers can take 12, 14 or 16 place settings, whilst slimline 45cm models may cater for 7, 8 or 9 place settings. Compact dishwashers tend to be 45 cm wide and can be placed on the worktop or built in, depending on the model. They may take 4, 5 or 6 place settings.
Choosing Appliance -> Servicing Your Appliance
Buying this "service deal" can be expensive but if you feel happier knowing that you are protected from breakdown for a few years, shop around insurance brokers to see how prices compare.

Useful info -> Taps
The three-way tap delivers hot and cold water independently or mixed just like a normal kitchen mixer. For purified water in some cases, the centre lever or handle on the tap body is selected, and cold water is diverted to the purification unit which is fitted neatly away under the sink. After purification, the water is channelled through its own waterway inside the tap to deliver purified water at the point-of-use. Alternatives to this delivery system are also available.
