Made in France, this elegant salad serving set makes a wonderful bridal shower gift. True to the Laguiole line, these utensils are patterned after an 1829 French design. A decorative bee, based on the emblem of Napoleon I, rests where the neck of each utensil meets the handle. Both the salad fork and spoon are made of a single piece of stainless steel, which runs through the handle of each serving piece. The handles have the signature Laguiole elongated pistol grip and are made of wenge wood--a dark, striated hardwood from central Africa--with stainless-steel accents.
