It ran great for about 4 or so batches and then would not run correctly (went on and off sporadically when plugged in). I issued a return and got a new one nearly the next day, so returns are very easy. After only paying about 19 dollars for this, I didn't expect it to be a super machine, so I wasn't alarmed about the issue. I have my second one now and I'm popping away. It pops a whole batch and leaves almost no kernels at all. Great machine, I am happy with my purchase. Customer Rating: Summary: Works great Comment: This thing works great. Very few unpopped kernels. Works quickly -- I would say it is quicker than making microwave popcorn. The end result is healthier than kettle corn or microwave popcorn, depending of course on what you decide to top it with... The popcorn is delicious, it works quickly, no complaints here. While it pops great corn, it does not have the on/off switch that our 20 year old one has; it hurls kernels everywhere and doesn't pop all of them. AND biggest disappointment of all, it doesn't melt butter in time for the popped corn like our old one did. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't buy this just because you trust the brand. Comment: This popcorn popper is terrible. It pops maybe 1/3 of the kernels, and the flow is not very well-directed, so it blows unpopped kernels and popped corn all over my kitchen. The twelve pieces of popped corn that made it into my bowl were crunchy and delightful, but I'm going back to using a pot on the stovetop, tail between my legs. If you're thinking about buying one of these, consider just sticking a hair dryer into one end of an empty paper towel roll and pouring popcorn into the other end - you'll get about the same result, although you might want to keep a fire extinguisher handy. More Reviews Pop some corn, snuggle up on the sofa, and grab the remote control. Whether it's a romantic evening for two, or a family tradition involving children and maybe even the family dog, popcorn is the perfect snack for a night at home watching movies. Since this popper pops with hot air and not oil, you can munch without guilt (or add some melted butter and promise to walk it off the next day).

Kitchen tips -> Cut raw meat When trying to cut thin slices or strips of raw meat, it is easier if you put the meat into the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour before cutting to help firm up the meat, or if the meat was frozen, slice it before it is completely thawed |
