Customer Rating:   Summary: Braun KF510-WH Aroma Deluxe 10 cup coffeemaker, White Comment: I love this coffeemaker. It's fast brewing, and I especially like the pause and pour feature. But my only complaint with this product is, that when pouring a cup of coffee it drips all over. It is very annoying,so, while I like this coffeemaker, I would look for a non drip one next time. Customer Rating: Summary: Braun KF510 Aroma deluxe Comment: This coffee pot, at about $35.00 makes better coffee than the $80 Cuisinart I have. I now have 2 of these, one at work and one at home. Customer Rating: Summary: Not so good Comment: This coffeemaker has so much potential, but makes rather watery coffee. It looks better than most coffeemakers out there and has fewer bells and whistles that tend to break with use anyway, and after reading the reviews I thought it would be good for my purposes- but not so. The plastic is made of inferior quality compared to my old Salton and I'm just hoping that I won't have to repurchase next year, but I've seen this kind of flimsy plastic in other products that break too easily or don't hold up to higher temperatures. When the coffee is brewing dribbles appear at the bottom joint where the swing basket sits and they drip down the side. This has never happened before in all the years I've been making coffee. To top it off, the coffee is really weak and I'm not a strong coffee freak but I have to use twice as much coffee as I used to to get the same strength brew. I had higher hopes for this one- too bad. Customer Rating: Summary: Great coffeemaker Comment: This coffeemaker fits my needs perfectly. It makes a delicious cup of coffee and is easy to use. I was looking for a "simple-to-operate" coffeemaker, without all the bells and whistles (timer, built-in coffee grinder, etc.) and this is ideal. This is my second Braun AromaDeluxe, I love it, and hope Braun keeps manufacturing this product. Customer Rating: Summary: Very Pleased....... Comment: Our faithful 10 cup Braun Aromaster finally died and unfortunately they aren't produced anymore. Knew we wanted another Braun, so this was the logical choice for a replacement. Don't need the auto features and clock so this fits the bill just fine. Not thrilled with the expensive water filter, not sure if I'll purchase a replacement. We have filters inline with our drinking water so it seems redundant. Though this unit does make a great cup of coffee. These Braun's are so well made and it really shows that they put allot of thought into their design. Very pleased, go ahead and buy one. Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
