Customer Rating:   Summary: First bad OXOperience Comment: Worked good for a few weeks, but the measurements have flaked off after just a few uses. It's been hand washed with mild detergent, so not sure what's going on...usually Oxo has great build quality and forethought! Customer Rating: Summary: good idea, but not durable Comment: I recieved mine as a gift two years ago. Last month, mine cracked and now leaks at the bottom. I would rather buy a pyrex cup that will last my lifetime intead of something like this that I will have to throw away every two years. Customer Rating: Summary: Genius Comment: This is a great measuring cup. It has every measurement you could want clearly printed on it. No more bending over to see if you're hitting the right measurement. Comfortable handle, light-weight, cleans easily. I have a 4-cup, 2-cup, and 1-cup, and a set of three of the small 1/4 cup tablespoon measures, which are worlds better than using measuring spoons for small amounts of liquid. The only think that could make these products better is if they were made of Pyrex. What a dream that would be! Customer Rating: Summary: Great for cooking kids! Comment: i like these cups for being able to see what you need from the top, instead of setting it down on the counter to settle out or holding it up in the air. Also, these features were especially helpful for my 8 yr old to use. She felt more confident on pouring because she could see if she had enough or not, before she over poured. I haven't noticed any problems with certain fats, although I might not have used them in there yet. I will always keep a pyrex in the house though! Customer Rating: Summary: It works Comment: I've had the other sizes that OXO offers for some time. As another reviewer notes, you can't use certain things with it, but for measuring everyday, standard liquids, its great. I use it for measuring the water for my coffee. It saves me a trip to the water cooler (yes, I actually have a Hinckley Springs water cooler with Purified Drinking Water...primarily for drinking, but it helps make GREAT coffee). One other thing: I find that it pours perfectly well. One reviewer said it didn't. I've found that the glass Pyrex measuring cups (which I use for those "other" liquids and if I'm microwaving) don't pour well. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens.
