Customer Reviews of Capresso 4440.90 3-pack Charcoal Water Filters
Customer Rating: Summary: They do indeed filter - Comment: Given the water in Davis - filtering is always recommended - water passes through - coffee tastes great - and the fit Customer Rating: Summary: hey, it's a coffee filter Comment: Man do I love my Capresso drip coffee maker. My Capresso needs filters. That's fine. I'd give it gold bullion if it asked... Since they are not made of gold, these filters get a 4 for price being a bit too high. Customer Rating: Summary: Capresso water filter - not really necessary Comment: As much as I love Capresso products - this one is questionable. You might wonder what I mean by this - well, first of all look at the costs for just three filters. Second: If you use these filters as recommended on the package (60 uses or 6 weeks) then just do the math. Yes, you will pay in one year more than the cost of your coffee maker. I have a Capresso coffee maker that cost over $200 and I love it but cannot afford these filters. To beat this unnecessary filter and its expense, this is what you do. Simply use filtered water. Quality filtered water will be without all the particles and contaminants that will hurt your coffee maker. Then, follow the coffee maker's instructions regarding its cleaning - like using white vinegar to keep the system free of harmful calcification. Manufacturers are in business to make money and they will sell you whatever you believe you must buy - these filters are not necessary! Customer Rating: Summary: They work as designed Comment: They work as designed. We have an old KitchenAid coffee maker and they work fine. Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect fit Comment: This item is a perfect fit for my capresso machine. My model # is 448. It makes the coffee taste better, removing some bitterness I was tasting from the water before. More Reviews Package of 3 Charcoal Water Filters for use with Capresso 427 - 439 - 452 Coffee Makers Choosing Appliance -> Range Cookers The way you cook is also key to deciding which type of range cooker to choose. No-frills heat storage ranges such as Agas retain heat they have gradually built up and generally have two ovens without temperature controls - the hot oven is for roasting and baking, the cool one for slow cooking/keeping warm. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Capresso 4440.90 3-pack Charcoal Water Filters Kitchen tips -> Chopping and Mincing When you want to finely chop foods such as: onions, garlic, parsley, or other items, pivot your knife by keeping the tip of the knife on the cutting surface at all times and hold the knife at an angle, about 95' angle, towards the hand holding the tip. This way, you use the blade to push and keep the food particles down, thus making them easier to chop. If the knife should slip, then the sharp side of the blade will slide away from where you're working, and away from your other hand and fingers. In addition, you make less noise, as compared to when raising and lowering the knife of the cutting surface trying to mince foods. |
