Customer Reviews of Bauen Pagoda 12-Quart Multicooker, 4-Piece Set
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice pot with convenient insulated handles Comment: We've only used this pot a few times, but the insulated handles make it easy to handle without using pot holders. Heat conduction is average. It does the job. More Reviews This multi-cooker does the work of several pots and pans and can even turn a complex pasta-and-vegetable dinner into an easy one-pot meal. The 12-quart stockpot has graduated measurements (ranging from 2 to 10 quarts) down its side and can simmer soups or stews on its own. Add the large strainer and you can boil large quantities of pasta or potatoes or tall ears of corn. Substitute the steamer basket and you can steam smaller portions of vegetables or even dim sum. A tempered glass lid fits on the top of all three pieces of cookware and is vented for better visibility of your foods while they cook. Bauen Pagoda cookware is designed for the home but constructed of restaurant-quality materials to stand up to the rigors of a busy kitchen. The stockpot, steamer, and strainer are all made of a heavy-gauge 18/10 stainless steel for durability. For quick and even heating, the stockpot also has an aluminum disk encapsulated in its bottom. Both the stockpot and strainer have silicone handles that stay cool during stovetop cooking and are comfortable to grip. The steamer basket has a stainless-steel handle that folds down to accommodate the lid and folds back up for removing from the range. This multi-cooker is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde What's in the Box Choosing Appliance -> Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Bauen Pagoda 12-Quart Multicooker, 4-Piece Set Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
