Customer Rating:   Summary: Dislike new lid style Comment: The saucepan itself is fine, but the new style of lid (wide silver knob) doesn't match my other Berndes saucepan lids, nor does it match the picture shown on Amazon. I was surprised by this and do not like it. More Reviews A small saucepan is very handy for warming up soups, making sauces, cooking rice, boiling eggs and so on. No kitchen should be without one! Vacuum-pressure casting allows this line of cookware to have a thick base for even heating, thin walls for less energy loss and lighter weight, and thick rim for structural stability and lid support. This cookware won't warp and the non-stick surfaces both inside and out won't blister, peel or chip. Glass lids let you see what's going on while sealing in flavors and moisture. Casting allows the handle bases to be an integral part of the pan, making rivets unnecessary. No rivets makes the interior easier to keep clean. The phenolic handles feature an ergonomic design with a thumb rest, nice and comfy! 
Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Choosing Appliance -> Taps Dual-flow mixers provide independent hot, cold or mixed water after leaving the end of the spout. They can be deck-mounted on the sink or pillar/bridge-mounted for a more traditional look.
