Customer Reviews of Lodge 10-Inch Chef Skillet
Customer Rating: Summary: the original "no-stick" pan Comment: My last one got misplaced in a move and, quite frankly, I find cooking without a cast-iron fry pan, somewhat less than perfect. These were the first "non-stick" pans and, unlike the modern versions, don't wear out, while depositing a steady supply of plastic in your food. Cast iron distributes heat more evenly, so even if you are forced to cook on an electric stove, you have better control over your cooking temperatures. If you get a preseasoned pan, you should clean it up and season it yourself. After that, you can easily maintain the cooking surface with a copper scouring pad and some paper towels. More Reviews In 1896 Joseph Lodge was strolling through the Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee and discovered the perfect place to settle his family and start his cast iron manufacturing company. Choosing Appliance -> Spoons Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice). Lodge 10-Inch Chef Skillet Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maintain Electrical Safely The insulation on electrical cords can become damaged by wear, flexing, or age. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
