Customer Reviews of Westinghouse Breadbox Toaster
Customer Rating: Summary: Toasts great, but really noisy! Comment: This toaster looks beautiful and helped contain the clutter on our kitchen counter. The toast comes out fine too - evenly toasted and to order. But this toaster has a fan that goes on while it's toasting, to keep the breadbox part cool and it's quite loud - I can't hear Morning Edition while it's on. The manual says it will keep blowing for 30 seconds after the toast cycle ends, but thankfully it doesn't. More Reviews It's a breadbox, it's a toaster, it's both! This innovative appliance gives you a breakfast breads work station in sleek, attractive chrome with black accents. Stow your muffins, bagels and bread in the front of this fully functional two slot toaster. You can dial the browning knob to your liking, light, dark, or medium with a range in between each. Breads in the box stay at room temperature thanks to an integrated fan which switches on while the toaster is at work. Choosing Appliance -> Grater In our opinion, the old fashioned box graters work the best since they are sturdy and offer several different grating sizes. Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Westinghouse Breadbox Toaster Useful info -> EnergyWise House: Laundry About 80 percent to 85 percent of the energy used for washing clothes is for heating the water. There are two ways to reduce the amount of energy used for washing clothes - use less water and use cooler water. Unless you're dealing with oily stains, the warm or cold water setting on your machine will generally do a good job of cleaning your clothes. Switching your temperature setting from hot to warm can cut a load's energy use in half. |
