Customer Reviews of Zyliss Z'blue Mini Salad Spinner with Storage Lid
Customer Rating: Summary: Cute little thing! Comment: I originally purchased the well-known, big glass Salad Spinner which was too heavy, too big and came with no storage lid so I returned it and replaced it with this one. We love it! It's lightweight, the blue matches our kitchen, easy to clean and DOES come with a storage lid. Hooray! The kids love using the cord to spin the salad and this smaller version does a nice small salad which is all we wanted. However, we only give it 4 stars because the cord sometimes does not retract on it's own. It's irritating but really not a big problem. Customer Rating: Summary: Such a cute, fun little thing! Comment: I originally purchased the big glass Salad Spinner that everyone likes but it was too big, too heavy, no storage lid, so sent it back and traded it for this one. This thing hold just the right amount of lettuce/greens/berries/veggies for 2 people. The spinning is fun and the kids love to take turns, it's light, has a storage lid, easy to clean, GREAT. BUT, the cord on the spinner kept getting stuck and took a while how to go around that and get it back in. That's why I didn't give it a 5. Otherwise, love it! More Reviews This smaller 2-quart salad spinner dries just enough greens to feed side salads to a family of four. The plastic colander insert is useful for a first washing and straining of lettuce leaves, kale, or collard greens and then fits into the transparent bowl to spin dry. The tight-fitting spinner lid has a pull cord that rotates the basket in two directions so greens are tossed as well as dried. The plastic ring on the end of the cord is hard and heavy so make sure fingers and any breakable glassware or ceramics are out of the way when you let go. If the cord becomes unwound, you can easily rewind it by rotating the bottom of the spinner lid. This salad spinner’s bowl has three non-slip pads underneath it to keep it stable during spinning and comes with an extra storage lid to keep salad greens fresh for days at a time. --Cristina Vaamonde Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Zyliss Z'blue Mini Salad Spinner with Storage Lid Kitchen tips -> Lasagne When boiling lasagne noodles, because of their size, it is best to add 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent the noodles from sticking together. Avoid using oil when boiling other noodles because the oil will prevent the sauce from sticking to the noodles properly |
