Customer Rating:   Summary: basic corkscrew Comment: I've used this several times over the past 10 weeks - hasn't broken yet. But you can get this cheaper at virtually any store that sells wine - don't buy it through Amazon. I think your money would be better spent on a more beefed up version of this product. I will have to purchase something else. This one just doesn't work for me. Customer Rating: Summary: Breaks easily Comment: After a couple of years of use the metal finally broke. It would have probably lasted longer if I didn't use it for opening bottle as well. Otherwise it works just fine as a wine bottle corkscrew. Hint: Get another bottle opener and use this exclusively for wine. This one is flimsy in comparison and there is no way that I think it will last even 20 years. Customer Rating: Summary: Slick as a whistle Comment: Over time, we've all tried many different types of corkscrews. Some work a whole lot better than others. And this is one that works very well. Once the screw bites into the cork fully, the levers when pushed down normally bring the cork right up. Sometimes, if a body is not careful and if the cork is very dry, part of the cork may stay in the bottle. But this corkscrew, from my experience, can retrieve the potential mess most of the time under such circumstances if one use a deft touch. In short, this is a good purchase to consider. Simple to operate and very dependable. More Reviews This is a nicely made basic cork screw, whose handle effectively lifts bottle caps. Easy to use, with an attractive brushed finish. 
Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Washer When shopping for a new washer, look for a front loading (horizontal-axis) machine. This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine. With a front loader, you'll also save more on clothes drying, because they remove more water from your clothes during the spin cycle. Look for the Energy Star label. Choosing Appliance -> Mixer Pretty much the same thoughts as the food processor. High quality mixers are great for making bread or other tough jobs. Every kitchen should have one. Be sure that any mixer has all three attachments: paddle, dough hook, and whip. Also, find a spot on the counter where it can be easily accessed at a moment's notice.
