Customer Rating:   Summary: Worked after some help Comment: Out of the box I was a bit disappointed by cheap construction. When I tried to pump a bottle I was disappointed to see that it didn't appear to be working. Maybe it's just my copy, but the pump part leaked air while pumping. I found that a damp dish rag or a plastic grocery bag to choke the pump and make a tighter seal helped. For the cheap bottles of everyday table wine that I use this for it gets the job done, but for more expensive bottles you will definitely want to go for something better. We use it for our oil since air can make your oil rancid. This keeps our oil fresh. It works great but it didn't quite fit our oil container so I put the oil in a clean, washed wine bottle. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Kitchen tips -> Lettuce Dry lettuce and other salad greens before adding dressing by tossing a couple of paper towels with the greens in a large bowl. Once the towels have picked up the excess moisture, pull them out and throw them away |
