Generously oversized without losing its graceful air, this Swedish Lodge covered casserole is crafted from fine bone china with a pale blue glaze. White scrollwork patterns decorate the body and lid, with a soft blue shadow accent for added dimension. Designed to coordinate with the entire Swedish Lodge collection, the piece features rope-trim edging on the finial, lid rim, and foot. In spite of its depth, it is manageable and easy to carry, thanks to its arced sides and curved lid. Set the lid aside, and the casserole doubles as a handsome bowl for huge salads and cold sides. Also, you should consider buying a non-stick silicon sheet: they make baking very easy! Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making.
