Customer Rating:   Summary: Gasket breaks after 24-hrs - don't recommend!!! Comment: I've gone through all six of these stupid things, all of the gaskets break overnight, just use the cork your wine came with. Customer Rating: Summary: It works, but isn't exactly all purpose. Comment: This product does great for the smaller wine bottles. However the larger ones (1.5 L), with only a slightly bigger opening they do not work for. It would work, if you could get the Rubber sealing porting to stay on when pulling up the lever, however it seems all 6 of mine, are slit in the middle, and the rubber piece comes off. This isn't a problem like I said in the smaller or (table wine) sized wine bottles. So only fitting a specific size wine bottle doesn't seem all purpose to me. I'm not sure if the rubber piece comes off for cleaning or if there even supposed to be that way. I have seen some (owned some) that are not separate pieces, and do not separate in anyway; after four years the lever broke, so these were their replacement....This is just a comment. However for value, and effectiveness-of the size they do fit, seems just fine. Customer Rating: Summary: feedback Comment: Great follow up concerning their product. Simple and effective - people with arthritis may have trouble using them easily, however. Only real beef I have with them is that they aren't exactly attractive. Just place one in an opened bottle of wine and flip the lever-- the rubber stopper expands to form an airtight seal. No kitchen is complete without a handful of these stoppers! Indispensable for picnics too. 
Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible.
