Customer Rating:  Summary: Classic Christmas carafe Comment: This "thermos" was bought for our family's Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange. Every Christmas Eve after our main meal of ham, turkey, and all the fixin's , my daughter-in-law makes coffee for us to drink with our desserts and the grandchildren still have punch. This Christmas Eve the brats (they know I'm only teasing)will have HOT chocolate because Grandma brought along her lovely Nikko Christmas thermos. The thermal carafe is a classic Christmas tree on an all white container, not too overdone with greens and reds. Just a simple vessel to appease the kids and save their mother an extra preparation. Nikko has produced a classic carafe which when used as instructed will provide hours of hot beverage for any meal or any time. Just clean with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Boil a kettle of water and pour into the Nikko thermos. Place top on it loosely, wait five minutes and then discard boiled water. Now pour in your hot beverage, screw on lid and take the filled thermos to your outing. When you're ready for your hot drink, the Nikko carafe will provide it. This method gives you about a four to six hour window for a pouring of a hot drink. I searched eBay for a nice thermos with a Christmas theme, but was not satisfied. Luckily Amazon.com came through with just the right product and as always in just a couple of days shipping. Amazon.com has always amazed me with there quality products, their reasonable pricing, and their expedient deliveries. UPS is the best when it comes to shippers. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Check the capacity. 'Standard' 60cm wide dishwashers can take 12, 14 or 16 place settings, whilst slimline 45cm models may cater for 7, 8 or 9 place settings. Compact dishwashers tend to be 45 cm wide and can be placed on the worktop or built in, depending on the model. They may take 4, 5 or 6 place settings. Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens.
