Customer Reviews of Zyliss Y-Peeler
Customer Rating: Summary: Fast, sharp peeler! Comment: I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't so large. I have large hands for a woman and still find the 7 1/4" length and large circumference hard to hold. I gave it 4 stars because it works really well! It is sharp and I can peel as fast as I want and it keeps up. Peelings don't get stick in the blades and they come off cleanly. It's so sharp that while getting used to the size, I accidentally took off a bit of thumbnail. I'm more careful now and have gotten used to gripping the large handle while peeling veges at a blazingly fast speed. Customer Rating: Summary: Great peeler for Mangoes Comment: If you like mangoes and you hate to peel them you have to give this Zyliss-Y-Peeler a try. Very light and easy to use, you won't lose your grip with it's fancy long handle. I was very impressed. Customer Rating: Summary: Good Peeler Comment: I read a good review about this peeler in a food magazine and decided to try one. It works great! Customer Rating: Summary: Great, Easy to Use Peeler Comment: I am a fan of the Y-peeler and this one is very good. I especially like the longer handle. Be careful, as with all new peelers, the blade is sharp (a good thing). I recommend getting this one. Customer Rating: Summary: Good Peeler Comment: This is the best peeler I had used. we can peel potatoes, mangoes and even apples. Nice to have one for the kitchen. More Reviews When peeling eggplant, zucchini or butternut squash you want a peeler that will sweep the skin right off in broad and powerful strokes. This sturdy, comfortable tool will definitely get the job done. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Whip / Whisk Many still consider a whip as a "gourmet" piece of kitchen equipment. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is as essential as a kitchen stove and should be in everyone's kitchen. Nothing works better for mixing a multitude of different preparations or for making sauces or gravy. Buy a solid stainless steel whip with moderately stiff wires. Very thin wires are for mixing delicate things like egg whites or whipped cream. Very thick, solid wires are for mixing stiff dough. Zyliss Y-Peeler Useful info -> How should I decorate my kitchen? Make sure that all wood mouldings such as doors, architraves and skirting boards are adequately painted before decorating. Ceilings too should be completed. Protect cabinets, appliances and floor coverings from paint or paste drips. You may want to unscrew wall cupboard mounted cornice to facilitate decoration. Don't put too much paste on your paper as it can become very soggy and tear rather than cut. Let the paste soak in for the recommended time and use top quality scissors and a craft knife with a ready supply of new blades for a sharp cut. Borders hide ragged edges at the ceiling. You will be so proud of your work when you have finished. |
