Customer Rating:  Summary: Exactly what I expected Comment: After visiting several kitchen stores and big box department stores that apparently don't carry more than one knife block, I finally found one that holds all of my knives! The block does exactly what I expected it to do - hold a lot of knives. Customer Rating: Summary: All my knives in one beautiful storage block! Comment: This block completed a great set of knives. It brings all of my knives in to one block versus two and cleans up the counter. The usual great service and quality product from Henckels and Amazon. Customer Rating:  Summary: Bad mix of slots, wasted space Comment: After reading all the good reviews and looking at the picture, I thought this would be a great choice for me. Unfortunately, the block only fit two of my larger knives, leaving 4 big knives without a home. Maybe if there were room for 4 or 5 larger knives I would have made due and gotten rid of a redundant knife or two, but as it was, this block is useless. Strangely, there was enough room on the rightmost column of slots that the slots could have been made sufficiently wide for my needs. For whatever reason, they didn't design it for my selection of knives. Oh well. All that said, it seemed like a nice enough block otherwise. Customer Rating: Summary: Knifeblock Comment: The knifeblock is perfect for all my knives and looks great on the kitchen counter. I am pleased with this purchase from Amazon. Customer Rating: Summary: holds them all!!! Comment: This block has enough slots that are large - to hold just about all knives you will need. It has a 3 1/2 inch for a cleaver and a couple of 2 inches for a Santoku and a large chef's knife. It has several 1 1/2 and 1 inch slots. It has a place to store your steel and kitchen shears. It has a fairly small footprint considering it holds 19 knives. It's about 5 inches by 11 1/2 inches. More Reviews Keep your fine cutlery close at hand in this hardwood storage block that protects knife edges from chipping and dulling. In a solid, heavy weight with rubber feet for stability. Includes slots for ten knives, sharpening steel and eight additional paring or steak knives at base. Made in USA.

This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine.
