Customer Rating:  Summary: Hoover Sidewinder Hand help vac Comment: Great product. This was a replacement for a similar Hoover hand held purchased many years ago. I expect this replacement to work for as long or perhaps even longer than the previous hand held. We now have three Hoover upright vacuums (one on each floor or our home) and now we are complete with another great Hoover product. It is great for cleaning carpeted stairs and removing pet hair from furniture. My old hand vac finally quit and I ordered a new Hoover hand vac. It works just fine. It is amazing the amount of dust and hair this little appliance will collect. Customer Rating:  Summary: The little vac that could. Comment: This little hand vac (about 3 lb.) has good power, good brush action and a lot of suction for a light weight hand held vac. The cloth bag filter is easy to vacuum off with our upright's hose. We have a 100 lb. Akita and the hair can accumulate on the stairs. Although we may have to stop 2 or 3 times throughout the stairs to clean the bag,it is not unreasonable. It replaced an older Hoover hand held, that had less suction than this one. Choosing Appliance -> Food Processor This is a big ticket item, but worth its weight in gold. It will save so much time when it comes to simple chopping or more advanced preparations like mayonnaise. As with most things, buy quality-- it will last longer, be capable of tougher jobs, and give you less problems. To make the food processor easiest to use, leave it on the counter top instead of storing it in a cabinet. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Cleaning & Maintenance Oven Never use a scouring pad of any sort to remove stubborn stains or soiled areas, since these pads scratch the finish and any future soiled areas won't clean up as well, especially with the self-cleaning models. When the oven is cool to the touch, place a cloth or sponge, dampened with warm to hot tap water, onto the soiled area and allow it to sit, for about ten minutes or so, to help loosen the soil. |
