It has always been a mystery that so many people still cling to the ultra-heavy ceramic plates and bowls. They make carrying a plate full of food nearly impossible to do one-handed and they make tremendous racket when clanged together. Not so with Corelle. The plates are super light yet incredibly durable. I have dropped so many bowls and plates over the years and only remember one ever breaking (and it was about ten years old). They stack neatly, wash very easily in the dishwasher, and are nice looking. If you're considering switching from ceramic plates, do it now. You won't be disappointed.
