Customer Reviews of MIU 2.2-Pound Meat Pounder
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Comment: They have the edges shaped just right so they don't catch. Not cheap, but very nice. Customer Rating: Summary: Does the Job Well -- Great Weight and Control Comment: Excellent! The shape and weight of this make it the perfect tool for pounding out meats. I find there is more control than with the traditional hammer style pounders. Customer Rating: Summary: The best pounder! Comment: I ordered this meat pounder 1-2 years ago and it still looks brand new (has been washed in the dish washer everytime). The 2.2 lbs weight makes flattening chicken breasts very quick. I don't like the pounders with "teeth" to tenderize because they tear the chicken or at least the papertowel I always place on top of the chicken before pounding it. It makes a good lid weight when cooking rice to make sure none of the steam escapes...and it's SO pretty. I think I only paid around $20.00 for it back then. Customer Rating: Summary: Meat pounder Comment: This is a very beautiful and well designed product. The quality is great. I love it and recommand to everyone who needs this product. Customer Rating: Summary: Hefty Pounder - Great Control Comment: I pounded out chicken breasts into cutlets and was amazed at the ease of the task and the control I had. I've used meat pounders before with a long horizontal handle and much prefer this design. I think it is a great purchase. More Reviews MIU France polished stainless steel meat pounder, item # 3600. This heavy weight meat pounder weighs in at just over 2-pounds. It will pound meat, fish or poultry into nice even slices with little effort. This is perfect for preparing chicken parmesan, beef, veal or tuna for Carpaccio. The one piece design is easy to use and clean. The solid stainless steel will withstand many years of usage without fail. The handle is 4-inches tall with a 3.5-inch circular base. Since there are no seams, it will not retain any food particles. This item is dishwasher safe. If washing by hand, do not use an abrasive scrubber as it may scratch the polished finish. Choosing Appliance -> Energy-Efficient Refrigerators The EnergyGuide label on new refrigerators will tell you how much electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) a particular model uses in one year. The smaller the number, the less energy the refrigerator uses and the less it will cost you to operate. In addition to the EnergyGuide label, don't forget to look for the Energy Star label. A new refrigerator with an Energy Star label will save you between $35 and $70 a year compared to the models designed 15 years ago. This adds up to between $525 and $1,050 during the average 15-year life of the unit. Choosing Appliance -> Servicing Your Appliance Buying this "service deal" can be expensive but if you feel happier knowing that you are protected from breakdown for a few years, shop around insurance brokers to see how prices compare. MIU 2.2-Pound Meat Pounder Useful info -> EnergyWise House: Laundry About 80 percent to 85 percent of the energy used for washing clothes is for heating the water. There are two ways to reduce the amount of energy used for washing clothes - use less water and use cooler water. Unless you're dealing with oily stains, the warm or cold water setting on your machine will generally do a good job of cleaning your clothes. Switching your temperature setting from hot to warm can cut a load's energy use in half. |
