Customer Rating:  Summary: Almost One Year and Still Going Comment: I bought this after my old battery operated grinder stopped working after several years. I am very happy with this and I entertain a lot. Everyone always "hints" at how much they like it and now I have to buy one for one of my close friend's birthday next month...I guess that's the downside -It will keep costing you money! Too bad they are not cheaper. Customer Rating: Summary: Need a hand... Comment: This pepper mill operates with the touch of a finger. It leaves your other hand free to stir or snap your fingers along with your favorite song while you cook. No more wrestling with manual pepper grinders that require huge muscles to operate and don't produce the needed amount of pepper. Customer Rating: Summary: A Great (and Fun) Peppermill Comment: My husband and I bought the MIU electric peppermill for my husband's 94-year-old father for Father's Day. My father-in-law loves pepper and uses a lot of it on many foods. He always complained that he couldn't get enough pepper out of a conventional shaker, so we decided this was the perfect gift for him. He absolutely loves it and also appreciates the fact that it's lighted, as his eyesight is poor. I found it to work just fine. It grinds faster than what I had before so you have to hold the button for just a few seconds. I like the pepper fine and with that adjustment it strains just a bit. Overall I am very happy and would buy it again and recommend it to others.. More Reviews The electric peppermill with light is so easy to use that by just pressing the button, it automatically dipenses peppercorns. A mini light illuminates the area below the mill and requires six AAA batteries.

It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Start with a chef knife and paring knife.
