Customer Rating:   Summary: Great little utility pocket knife Comment: This is a really great little pocket knife. The scissors are very good and I use them more than any other component. The light is more for showing off, however if it were pitch black and you needed to look at something close up it would give you something. The light is red, not white, which is dim at best. The knife is small but amazingly useful. I've used the straight pin to pick at things and the tweezers to get at small objects (not as good for slivers). The "screwdriver" is not the best feature, I've used it more for prying than anything else. All in all, the most handy thing I've carried around for it's size. Buy a solid stainless steel whip with moderately stiff wires. Very thin wires are for mixing delicate things like egg whites or whipped cream. Very thick, solid wires are for mixing stiff dough. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. Useful info -> Hobs Hobs are becoming a style point in modern kitchens, and accordingly available in all colours, stainless steel and interesting designs. Wide hobs, multi-fuels (electric and gas) and five or six ring burners offer flexibility but consider your usage before choosing - If your kitchen accommodates more than one cook at once, position the hob away from the oven, that way you don't get in each other's way. |
