Summary: This fan is a clear winner
Comment: I unpacked this today. 5 minutes later I plugged it in and
waited for the dreaded "its too noisy at low speed" verdict
I've drawn with countless other fans. To my surprise, this
one was different.

It's quiet as possible for the Significant amount of air moved.
90% air, 10% motor noise whether static, oscillating, low or
high speed. Nice design, all aluminum cage, push button control
and "goes with anything" medium gray/silver color finish. Its
got some heft to it, which dampens vibration noise, thanks to
a nice quality motor.

Thumbs up all around. Superior quality, performance, and quiet.

Summary: Much better than Vornado!
Comment: This Clairion TF-1224 fan is excellent. It really is very quiet - all you hear is the wind it generates. It's just as quiet when it oscillates. The Vornado motor is loud and doesn't oscillate. The Clairion is great looking. It is a breeze (no pun intended) to assemble, it took two minutes. I've been running it 24/7 for a month, smooth as silk.

Comment: VERY NICE PRODUCT..GOOD LOOKING..QUIET..AND IT COOLS! one word of caution however..it arrives in 5 or 6 pieces that you must assemble but you do not need tools..easy for a younger person but would be a problem for elderly...I don't believe they tell you that it is DIY......

Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes.
