Customer Reviews of Kaiser Bakeware Glass Bottom Springform Pan
Customer Rating: Summary: Best pan ever Comment: I love to make cheesecakes and when my old glass bottomed one died on me I scearched for a replacement and finally took a chance on this one. I really like it and would recommend it to anyone. Customer Rating: Summary: A little bigger would make the Kaiser Springform pan better Comment: I used my normal cheesecake recipe but found the Kaiser spring form to be too shallow to accomodate the entire recipe. I didn't measure it before hand, as it was a 10" pan like my CHEAP one. SO, in the future, I am afraid that for THAT one fabulous cheesecake recipe I will have to rely on my cheaper 10" pan. It WAS nice to have the glass bottom upon which to cut and serve the dessert. I would have given it five stars if it had been an inch and a half deeper. It just never occurred to me that the pan did not have the capacity I needed. Customer Rating: Summary: Couldn't be happier.......... Comment: I couldn't be any happier with this product. I had just replaced my old metal bottom springform pan with a nice new one, about 3 weeks before the arrival of the glass bottom springform pan, used it once and gave it to my sons girlfriend. I was so happy with the new one that I bought two more for gifts. Both of the friends that I gave them to just love them. The cheesecake never tasted so good. I was a little concerned at first because it wasn't as deep as my old one but every thing was fine in the end. More Reviews What are two troublesome things about most springform pans? Well, sometimes the cheesecake will stick to the sides. And sometimes if you cut slices while the cheesecake still rests on the base of the pan you make horrible scratches on your bakeware. This pan has a non-stick ring so food comes clean, and a glass bottom that is impervious to most scratching. Guess you can kiss those problems good bye! Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers Added features such as ice making and drinks dispensers can all add to the appeal of certain models. Ice making is an option on many American style fridge-freezers, sometimes available without opening the door, as are cold water dispensers. Zoned models offer several storage areas, all at different temperatures, designed to keep a variety of foods fresh for longer. Most manufacturers now offer adjustable shelf heights and storage units which simplify food storage. Kaiser Bakeware Glass Bottom Springform Pan Useful info -> Is stainless steel really stainless? Choose a good quality sink to avoid problems later. Buy cheap and you will discover that stainless steel can stain and even rust! Mild acids such as vinegar will promote rust in stainless steel where the nickel content is low. Stronger acids such as those used by photo processors will have a detrimental effect on all stainless steels. |
