After buying the replacement GTF filter and using it with the #4 paper filters, I would say the bitterness disappeared almost instantaneously and the coffee flavor was more robust and much smoother. I am sure it is a great filter, problem is it is NOT the filter that goes to THIS coffee machine. So in my opinion Amazon tricked me into thinking this filter went with this coffee machine. I did try and see if a gold tone filter came with the machine, or the size ect, but could not find that information. I WILL be less confident shopping on Amazon then I used to be. Useful info -> Is the top or bottom element going to perform the self-cleaning cycle? Some ovens only use the top element and others only use the bottom one. Better designed ovens use the bottom element. The reason for this is that most grease spills and splatters (soil) will accumulate on the sides and the floor of the cavity - not on the ceiling (where the broiler is located) and therefore, the element that is the closest to these soiled areas should be the one to work the strongest in order to bake off the soil. |
