Customer Rating: Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5
Summary: Automatic window fan
Comment: Just set the temperature and the settings and wait for the breeze. Simple to use and the results are great. I would recommend this Holmes fan.

Customer Rating: Rating: 1/5Rating: 1/5Rating: 1/5Rating: 1/5Rating: 1/5
Summary: Disappointed in the quality
Comment: This is the experience I had. Right out of the box one of the fans did not operate. The electronic adjustments where a bit confusing for my girlfriend. We decided return this one and order the other brand that also began with an H and were much happier with that brand It is easier to use and seem to be built better.

Customer Rating: Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5
Summary: Nice fan
Comment: Nice fan, a little more than I wanted to pay but it seems to be worth it.

Customer Rating: Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5Rating: 4/5
Summary: Good Fan
Comment: Works well. Has nice timing feature and thermostat works alright, not the most accurate. I like the intake/exhaust ability. Only downside is no remote, however if you set the timer then you don't have to worry about getting out of bed in the middle of the night to turn it off. I recommend this product.

Summary: more than I expected
Comment: Easy to install and use. Was of better build quality than I expected. been on for a month and doesn't seem to have any problems. Temp display very useful.

Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap
An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot.
Choosing Appliance -> Spoons
Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice).

Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Heat
Rather than cause accidental heat-damage, prevent such damage in the first place:
  • Always use a heat protection pad or trivet (with rubber feet) for hot cookware, or leave cookware to cool on the hob first. Never put hot pans, particularly cast iron. Such heat can damage any surface!
  • If you must put a hot pan on the base of a sink use a protective sink mat, sponge, or cloth beneath. It is best to leave the utensil to cool slightly first, or put a few inches of cool water in the sink before the pan.
  • Avoid pouring boiling liquids directly into sinks without turning on the cold tap as well.
