Customer Reviews of Alfi Avanti 80-Ounce Carafe, Red/Silver
Customer Rating: Summary: Broken! Comment: I've owned Alfi Avanti thermal carafes before and this one is NOT the usual good quality. It shipped on October 1, 2008, the window for return was November 8, 2008, and it is broken and no longer usable on November 20, 2008. The top will no longer unscrew from the carafe and the blue part is broken off and cannot be reattached. $36.00 down the drain. I'm disappointed that Amazon doesn't have a return policy for defective merchandise because this one is clearly defective. More Reviews This Alfi Avanti carafe is a frosted ice-blue and yellow carafe constructed with high quality polypropylene. The "easy" one-hand operation makes this item an obvious choice. Also equipped with Alfi's double-walled vacuum glass liner which keeps liquids hot or cold for up to 12 hours. Choosing Appliance -> Whip / Whisk Many still consider a whip as a "gourmet" piece of kitchen equipment. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is as essential as a kitchen stove and should be in everyone's kitchen. Nothing works better for mixing a multitude of different preparations or for making sauces or gravy. Buy a solid stainless steel whip with moderately stiff wires. Very thin wires are for mixing delicate things like egg whites or whipped cream. Very thick, solid wires are for mixing stiff dough. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Alfi Avanti 80-Ounce Carafe, Red/Silver Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Cleaning & Maintenance Oven Never use a scouring pad of any sort to remove stubborn stains or soiled areas, since these pads scratch the finish and any future soiled areas won't clean up as well, especially with the self-cleaning models. When the oven is cool to the touch, place a cloth or sponge, dampened with warm to hot tap water, onto the soiled area and allow it to sit, for about ten minutes or so, to help loosen the soil. |
