Customer Rating:  Summary: Great quality, beautiful holiday dishes Comment: I love the Pfaltzgraff brand and have them as my every day dishes as well. This year I decided I finally wanted to add some holiday dishes to my collection and wanted something that wasn't too overpriced, but something of high quality that would last. The Winterberry dishes are just that; high quality (everything by Pfaltzgraff seems to be high quality), classic holiday look with the red and green (but not too "Christmasy" that I couldn't use them all winter long), and priced just right. I had no problem with the shipping/packaging from Amazon - everything came intact with no issues. I'm extremly happy with this dinnerwear set, and may consider buying another set so I have service for 8. Their price was $69 for a 16 piece setting. After checking online, I found that Amazon had the best price and offered free shipping. The box arrived within a week of ordering and nothing was damaged inside. I was so pleased with what I received that I ordered another 16 piece set. Customer Rating:  Summary: Broken dishes as promised Comment: Pfaltzgraff Winterberry 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4As promised by other reviewers, I received some broken dishes in the set. Two of the salad plates were in pieces when I opened up the dinnerware set box. The salad plates are sandwiched between the dinner plates and the bowls. The dinner plates and bowls were unbroken. The box of dinnerware was placed in a larger box with some wadded up brown paper for packing. The outside box wasn't damaged. Customer Rating: Summary: What a Find! Perfect! Comment: I am SO happy I checked Amazon when shopping online for these dishes as a wedding gift! My family collects them and so we wanted to give a starter set to the new bride, but finding them in June isn't as easy as it is through the holiday season. I had them in my shopping cart and was ready to check out at the company's main site... wincing at the nearly $30 s/h charge... when I suddenly thought to check Amazon first. Not only did I save $20/set here (I was buying 3), but I also got free super saver shipping. Add that all up, and I saved $90 by buying them here! And they arrived at my doorstep in two days and in perfect condition. There's no doubt that I'll shop here first the next time I'm in the market for these! Kitchen tips -> Lasagne When boiling lasagne noodles, because of their size, it is best to add 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent the noodles from sticking together. Avoid using oil when boiling other noodles because the oil will prevent the sauce from sticking to the noodles properly |
