Customer Reviews of Braun KF600 Impressions 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker, Brushed Stainless Steel
Customer Rating: Summary: Two years and out Comment: worked OK for about two years, then heating element degraded, spring for release broke (pouring coffee all over when carafe removed). Not a good value. Customer Rating: Summary: The coffemaker works Comment: The Braun KF600 work fine as expected. I can get warm coffee after one hour from the thermal pod. It works for me perfectly. Customer Rating: Summary: Kojirushi Thermal Coffeemaker is Better and Half The Price Comment: I have the Braun KF 600 and it stopped working after a few months so I purchased the Zojirushi and was pleasantly surprised. The Zojurishi brews a better, faster pot of coffee and keeps it hotter in the thermal carafe much longer than the Braun. It is also half the price of the Braun. It is rare that you find find a better product at a lower price, but the Zojirushi fits the bill. I am pretty picky about my coffee maker and I am very impressed by this product. Customer Rating: Summary: Best coffee maker I've ever owned! Comment: It's been almost 3 years now (Christmas) and I am so happy with this coffeemaker I made a point of coming here to leave a review. It brews FAST, the coffee is hot (if you preheat the thermal carafe) and you have great-tasting coffee for several hours. Plus, we are a two-coffee household (decaf) so we just got an extra carafe and it's ridiculously easy now for us both to enjoy our "own" coffee right away and together. I do make a point of using and changing the recommended filters, so I've never had a slowdown in brew time. The one thing that took some getting used to is the way that the carafe lid fits into the carafe -- it's a "twist and seat" connection that locks in the lid, and once you get it it's easy, but at first it can be frustrating. I HIGHLY recommend this coffee maker -- you don't even need as much "clearance" to pour the water as some others where the entire top lifts (this one has a relatively small water chamber lid). I probably sound like a commercial, but when you make coffee every single morning, you care about your coffee maker... then again, maybe it's the Bustelo coffee we use! Customer Rating: Summary: Solid coffeemaker for over two years now Comment: I got this coffee maker as a wedding present more than two years ago and it's still working great! Tasty coffee, fast making and very good looking in my kitchen countertop too. I love the thermo function because my husband often gets up later than me but his coffee is still hot in the thermo pot! My only complaint is that the "stop and serve" function never worked with me. More Reviews Keep freshly brewed coffee hot for hours with this Braun KF600 Impressions 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker. Combining long-lasting brushed stainless steel with an elegant design, it features a double-wall vacuum-insulated thermal carafe and a flavor-sealing brew-through lid. The carafe's pour-and-lock system, as well as its open, soft touch, non-slip handle, allows for simple pouring with the push of a button. With the coffee maker's pause-and-serve feature, a cup can be poured mid-brew, and for convenience and safety, the unit is designed with an automatic shut-off feature. Its exclusive, filter basket-release button makes it simple to remove the basket and conveniently place it on the countertop for easy filling or cleaning. The coffee maker comes with a permanent gold-tone filter and an exclusive Brita water filter, which helps prevent scale build-up and reduces chlorine and other impurities for an improved coffee flavor. The unit is designed for household use only and features dishwasher-safe removable parts for easy clean up. The coffee maker measures 13 by 7-1/2 by 14-1/8 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Sinks Consider which accessories might be beneficial. Many models can be supplied with a draining basket, chopping board and strainer bowls. A drainer extension can be useful for sinks without a drainer where worktop space is limited in a small kitchen. Braun KF600 Impressions 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker, Brushed Stainless Steel Useful info -> Granite Granite is an igneous rock. It is formed as a result of the slow crystallisation of molten magma at depth in the earth's crust. Uplift and erosion has over millions of years resulted in this material outcropping at the surface. The minerals which make up granite are generally quartz, felspars and various mafic minerals (amphiboles, pyroxenes, micas and secondary materials). It is the size, distribution and precise chemistry of these minerals which give the granite it's colour. The silica content of granite should be at least 70%. In the stone industry "granite" has been a term applied to almost all igneous rocks and schists. |
