Customer Rating:  Summary: J.A. Henckels 8pc Knife set Comment: Excellent knives, very sharp. I have had no problem with these and don't believe I will have any. They are well made and do what I need them to. I like them and they will do until I can afford the TWINS. J.A. Henckels has a high-end set of knives that are very pricey but worth it. These will do until then. Customer Rating:  Summary: Very Satisfied Comment: I've used the J.A.Henckels International Steak Knives for about 1 month. They are very sharp. They are a big improvement from the knives I used in the past. I read the reviews before I purchased them. Some people complained after putting them in the dishwasher. I do not put the knives in the dishwasher. I wash and dry them immediately after use. Customer Rating: Summary: What more could you ask for? Comment: What do you ask from a steak knife? It must cut. It must be easy to wash. This set of knives does both and at about thirty bucks! For the money you can't go wrong with these. Granted, they are not for your formal place setting, but for every day use they are more than adequate. They are not only sharp but are also dishwasher safe. You can't go wrong with these. Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Choosing Appliance -> Knives The importance of high quality knives can't be stressed enough! Buy the best you can and expect to spend some serious money. It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Kitchen tips -> Cut raw meat When trying to cut thin slices or strips of raw meat, it is easier if you put the meat into the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour before cutting to help firm up the meat, or if the meat was frozen, slice it before it is completely thawed |
