I would recomend this product to everyone and I would definitely purchase it again. I purchased to duo set because of the price savings. The steamer basket and trivet work perfectly and I will use them alot. The ability to cook beans in 10 minutes instead of 2 hours is a fantastic aid to both cooking and energy conservation. Most foods can be cooked in a pressure cooker. The only reason I've rated this set 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is made in China, and I've seen these in the store with broken handles, so the handles might be a little bit brittle. Otherwise, the quality seems excellent, and, as far as my own experience, I would recommend buying these right away before you waste more money and time on your cooking. Customer Rating: Summary: Parts keep breaking Comment: We have bought a duo set in Bed Bath and Beyond. In less than a year the lower part of the handle broke, and the replacement costs around $15. It is now about 3 years that we own this pressure cooker and the valve has broken and it will cost me $16 to get a replacement part. I find it very annoying that such an expensive item keeps being costly over time. I guess it is great for Fagor to keep the money flow in, but they sell themselves as beeing Green, and therefore they should not use parts made to break every year or two!!!! Choosing Appliance -> Whip / Whisk Many still consider a whip as a "gourmet" piece of kitchen equipment. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is as essential as a kitchen stove and should be in everyone's kitchen. Nothing works better for mixing a multitude of different preparations or for making sauces or gravy. Buy a solid stainless steel whip with moderately stiff wires. Very thin wires are for mixing delicate things like egg whites or whipped cream. Very thick, solid wires are for mixing stiff dough.
