A simple machine at a great price. Customer Rating:  Summary: The best solution with its own container Comment: This juicer is the best out of the ones that have their own container, but the ones that are simply juicers and you have to put a glass next to them for the juice to go into are more powerful and you can juice for longer. the only flimsy thing about this one is that 1- you can see the level of juice only on one side of the container 2- it does not switch direction in which it turns easily. Customer Rating: Summary: great juicer for margaritas! Comment: had the black and decker juicer and lost the top part...so I thought I'd try the Oster. It is SO MUCH BETTER. The reason is the base doesn't move when you juice. The b & D you had to constantly hold the base and squeeze which was VERY tiring. Highly recommend for your margaritas...we use 1 part fresh lime juice, 1 part tequila (the clear tequila, not the gold) and 3/4 part triple seq..and sugar to your taste. Blend it up with ice and you are good to go! Customer Rating: Summary: Died the first day! Comment: We juice two cases of citrus each Passover and have burned out many juicers. We read many many reviews and decided to buy this one. We are really happy with our Oster blender and people seemed to say this was a real work horse. Nope. We burned out the motor on the first day preparing for Passover. We didn't even get 1/4 of the way through the box of juicing oranges. This juicer is probably alright for occasionally juicing a few oranges but it will not stand up to Passover. Customer Rating: Summary: Delighted with this item Comment: This juicer has been the most perfect purchase. I bought it to make my diet lemonade (1 lemon, 4 packets Splenda, 20 ounces water.) It is just the perfect size, easy to operate and to clean, plus light-weight and easy to keep under counter or put away. One of the little perks is that when you are juicing the lemon, then lift it off, when you press it back on, the juicer turns the opposite direction - you feel you are getting every ounce of juice. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers By law manufacturers must disclose the energy efficiency of their appliances, rated A to G. These are usually displayed prominently in showrooms. Useful info -> Sinks The choice of sink materials is huge. Stainless steel is self-healing, hygienic and co-ordinates with the latest trend in appliances. Fireclay or ceramic sinks are solid and traditional with the latter being available in a core range of colours such as blue and green as well as white. |
