Customer Rating:   Summary: Horrendous customer service! Comment: We purchased our Shark Quick and Quiet last January. In July, the battery died. I went to the Euro-Pro website and ordered a new battery. That was in JULY! It is now OCTOBER, and we have received 3 postcards from Euro-Pro saying: "Due to the large response, the item you've requested is temporarily out of stock. WE have ordered new stock to cover all orders. you may expect delivery in 3-4 weeks." It is obvious they have a problem with either the product design which causes so many dead batteries, or their supplier. Whichever one is the root cause, I have a worthless piece of junk sitting in my utility room which I can't use. Great for pet hair, easy to move around - no cords to worry about. Just love it! Which small so things get dirty much faster. I have two cats, one of which is a huge fellow with long hair. Also I have these very tightly woving wool durmas I think they are called. UGH Vaccum cleaners did nothing, unless I used it everyday, and I mean everyday! Shark gets everything up, plus it cleans so well now i only have to used clean once a week. Belive the infomercial. It is that good. I really hope this helps. My ONLY complaint is that you can not go backwards or the stuff bunches and comes out. Usually it just means you have to empty the container. THE SUCTION IS VERY POOR.THE BATTERY LIFE IS MUCH LESS THAN STATED ON THE INSTRUCTIONS.Due to the poor suction it taked forever to do a room and since the battery life is so limited I barely get through 2 rooms before it needs to be charged again. Got it at a bargain on Amazon.com for the low price of $29.99 and FREE Shipping. It is a little cheaper on Amazon than in the stores (about $5 cheaper). Great if you have a messy kitchen or dining room. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Kitchen tips -> Onion To produce good tasting, crisp onions, slice or chop onions and place them in a bowl. Cover the onions with water and then add some ice to the water. Let the onions soak for 15 minutes to an hour and then drain before serving |
