Customer Reviews of Oxo Good Grips Mini Chopper
Customer Rating: Summary: What was OXO thinking of?? Comment: This thing is completely useless. Its too small. Nothing fits in the small chamber, well perhaps a few peanuts or maybe two cashews. It doesnt chop it mashes and as other reviewers mentioned, it is extremely difficult to clean. Maybe the regular size chopper is better, but stay away from this mini chopper!! Customer Rating: Summary: Wish it cleaned up as well as it chops Comment: I bought my Mom this smaller-sized chopper for nuts, herbs, onions & scallions. The good news: It chops evenly and efficiently, with a comfy plunging action. The bad news: you have to take the entire chopper apart in order to clean it properly. There are multiple interior pieces and lots of nooks and crannies where food particles get trapped. And if you miss anything, it will mold in place (yuck.) We regularly needed hot soapy water, a toothbrush and about 10 minutes of scrubbing to clean everything out. OXO has a deservedly great reputation for kitchen gadgets; this one needs a redesign for simplicity and easier cleaning. Customer Rating: Summary: great kitchen gadget Comment: This little mini chopper (they call it a garlic chopper that can chop virtually anything) makes a great addition to any kitchen. It is easy to use, easy to clean, stores in a small space and also makes a great and unusual gift. I bought it for my wife to limit the amount of blood in my food-just kidding-but she found it easy to produce finely chopped garlic, onion, nuts and other things. Although it doubles as a storage container, we have found little use for this feature since the amount that can be stored is negligable. All in all and A+ kitchen toy. Customer Rating: Summary: very effective chopper Comment: This chopper is great for small items such as garlic cloves. The first few downstrokes should be done slowly and carefully, then you can pick up speed. Does not work well on a large chopping job - that's not what it is designed to do. Can be taken apart easily for cleaning, and reassembles easily. Oxo products rarely disappoint. Customer Rating: Summary: Works well, but too small Comment: This chopper is smaller than I anticipated, and is really only useful for chopping herbs or other small items (scallions, for instance). It cannot be easily used to chop any vegetable, even precut onions, because it cannot handle the volume. More Reviews For small dicing and mincing of herbs, spices, garlic and more, this chopper makes the task simple and efficient. Although smaller than its counterpart, it offers the same sharp blades that rotate each time you press down, working quickly as it prevents buildup inside. The internal soft bumper absorbs shock to increase comfort and reduce sound. Includes a spoon for scooping to keep hands clean and odor-free. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Dryer When shopping for a new clothes dryer, look for one with a moisture sensor that automatically shuts off the machine when your clothes are dry. Not only will this save energy, it will save wear and tear on your clothes caused by over-drying. Keep in mind that gas dryers are less expensive to operate than electric dryers. The cost of drying a typical load of laundry in an electric dryer is 30 to 40 cents compared to 15 to 25 cents in a gas dryer. Oxo Good Grips Mini Chopper Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maximize the efficiency of appliances You can also maximize the efficiency of appliances you already own through regular maintenance and tune-ups and system upgrades. Examples of some things that you can do are:
