Customer Reviews of CDN Proaccurate Digital Programmable Probe Thermometer
Customer Rating: Summary: This model is terrific! Comment: I and my professional barbecue team partners have been using three of these units (same model)for a year and a half, with no problems and usage of an average of 45 events per year/40 tests per event. Just use average, sensible care and they work well. I suspect that some of the users who rate these poorly do not have experience and the sense to utilize them the way they are intended. A fine product for the money. Even if I got a year out of each of them, they would be an accurate bargain. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Meat Thermometer Comment: This works great with no trouble. It's easy to use and seems very accurate. It has easy settings for different meats and how well done you want it. Sometimes I'd like to set the alarm at an in-between temp, but it really isn't a problem. I've had no problems for the past couple of years. Highly recommended! Customer Rating: Summary: better products available Comment: The one I received did not work, the return was very easy. Other con, the timer does not show seconds. I had a Polder that was great. Still, the straight thermometers are the fastest. Customer Rating: Summary: Best Probe Thermometer Out There! Comment: I am a big fan of probe thermometers, and I have owned and ruined several of them; each a different brand. The CDN is the most accurate and can withstand high heat - best on the market in this price range. I have owned this thermometer for over a year now, and in this time it has: 1. Been rained on at least 5 times. 2. Dropped in our pool. 3. Been hidden in our sandbox. 4. Been dropped on hot coals and backing partially melted. Each time this thermometer has miraculously come back to life and worked perfectly! The original battery is still going. If I had to purchase a new one, it would be this thermometer! Customer Rating: Summary: No complaints yet Comment: So far so good, works well in my oven. Probe did get stuck on oven roof, though that was probably my bad. Does not automatically come set to sound an alarm, so checking that first is probably good. More Reviews Take the guesswork out of your cooking and baking and enjoy meals cooked to perfection. This digital thermometer has a temperature range from 32 to 482 degrees, and includes easy-to-use programmable settings, a count up and down timer, alarm and large display. It's calibrated to the National Sanitation Foundation standards, the highest standard achievable, and accepted for commercial use, so it's extremely accurate. Battery is included. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens The standard 60cm oven has been joined by various other sizes. Now consumers can choose from 60,70 and 90cm wide built-in single ovens. Always check the internal capacity shown in litres as well as the external dimensions. CDN Proaccurate Digital Programmable Probe Thermometer Kitchen tips -> Lasagne When boiling lasagne noodles, because of their size, it is best to add 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent the noodles from sticking together. Avoid using oil when boiling other noodles because the oil will prevent the sauce from sticking to the noodles properly |
