Customer Reviews of Nor Pro Stainless Steel Onion Holder
Customer Rating: Summary: onion holder Comment: I always wanted 1 of these, now that I have it, it is so much easyer to cut onions. Customer Rating: Summary: Great job, just wish it were a little bigger Comment: The product is handy, does what it is supposed to do (hold the vegetable so you can cut it into slices while keeping your hand out of the way). I just wish it were a little wider for larger items like onions, but otherwise it's great - cleans up well, is sturdy and useful. Customer Rating: Summary: great tool Comment: The stainless steel onion holder has held up well. My son and I love hamburgers with onion. This device makes perfect slices for hamburgers. Most importantly I've not drawn blood since using the holder. I have found another use for it that is even more important to me. I make a lot of beef jerky. The onion holder allows me to make beef slices that are consistant and uniform. Customer Rating: Summary: Not exactly onion holder Comment: After using this to cut onions and tomatoes, I realized that this doesn't make things any easier. You still have those tears and all the sliminess. Inserting the knife between those prongs is trick. I should agree this makes cutting onions more fun. I found it more useful to cut long cucumbers or zucchinis into chips quickly. Customer Rating: Summary: Stainless Steel Onion Holder Comment: This purchase represents the 2nd and 3rd of these which I have ordered. These are for gifts. After using the wood handle/steel wire version, the Stainless Steel Onion Holder is like moving up to a BMW. More Reviews This 18/10 stainless steel slicing is ideal for slicing onions and tomatoes. The onion holder features a stainless steel handle with sharp, heavy-duty prongs. Holds food secure while you cut even, thin slices.*Knife not included.* Choosing Appliance -> Energy-Efficient Refrigerators The EnergyGuide label on new refrigerators will tell you how much electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) a particular model uses in one year. The smaller the number, the less energy the refrigerator uses and the less it will cost you to operate. In addition to the EnergyGuide label, don't forget to look for the Energy Star label. A new refrigerator with an Energy Star label will save you between $35 and $70 a year compared to the models designed 15 years ago. This adds up to between $525 and $1,050 during the average 15-year life of the unit. Choosing Appliance -> Taps Dual-flow mixers provide independent hot, cold or mixed water after leaving the end of the spout. They can be deck-mounted on the sink or pillar/bridge-mounted for a more traditional look. Alternatively, choose a monobloc tap, which is a single-hole fitting that usually has two handles for hot and cold water supply. Nor Pro Stainless Steel Onion Holder Kitchen tips -> Chopping and Mincing When you want to finely chop foods such as: onions, garlic, parsley, or other items, pivot your knife by keeping the tip of the knife on the cutting surface at all times and hold the knife at an angle, about 95' angle, towards the hand holding the tip. This way, you use the blade to push and keep the food particles down, thus making them easier to chop. If the knife should slip, then the sharp side of the blade will slide away from where you're working, and away from your other hand and fingers. In addition, you make less noise, as compared to when raising and lowering the knife of the cutting surface trying to mince foods. |
