Customer Rating:   Summary: Great for stirring Comment: This is a great product for stirring anything hot and the corner works well to scrape pan bottom edges. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is that I feel the handle could be stiffer. With the normal 2-pieces spatula, food always gets in to the joint (between spatula and handle). I bought 4 of them in different sizes and love them all. Customer Rating: Summary: Scraping the bowl Comment: These are the best! I'm so glad they weren't around when my grandparents were alive. My grandparents were excellent candy makers. My job was to eat what was left in the bowl after they finished beating the fudge or the penuche. I'd watch impatiently as they scraped their well-beaten fudge into a pan to finish cooling, hoping that they'd leave a decent amount clinging to the sides of the bowl. I was very good at scraping that last bit of fudge out of the bowl. I believe that the very best fudge, cake batter, ice cream, and cookie dough is the part left clinging to the sides of the bowl. That's what fingers are for. I know this from experience. The Trudeau silicone spatulas allow you to get every bit of dough, batter, or sauce out of the pan. The edges flex, while the center is firm enough to lift heavy ingredients. They are one molded piece so the end doesn't come off in your batter, revealing something ugly that should have been washed better. They withstand high temps, so they don't melt when you scramble your eggs... leaving you holding a stubby spatula and wondering where the end of it actually went. While this scraper will allow me to scrape all the fudge out of my bowl, I promise to leave the final scraping to my granddaughter. No need to worry about gunk getting trapped between the silicone and the handle. Every cook needs Trudeau spatulas in their kitchen!!! Customer Rating: Summary: This is a perfect spatula for a great price Comment: I don't understand anyone who doesn't understand all of the uses for this wonderful spatula. First the obvious, it's one solid piece of silicone so no cleaning between a handle and the spatula to get out all of the food particles. Then it's a great size - medium small - for lots of everyday uses. The silicone is soft enough to conform to the job and not the rigid plastic/silicone you find in many spatulas. And finally, the shape, which is perfect for (yes) scraping out jars of mayonnaise and peanut butter, but also for getting into the corners of all of your pots and pans when stirring. It also conforms better to bowls than the standard spoonula because of the angle. Aim the tip towards the center of the bowl and away from you and it is the exact angle you need to stir, fold, whatever. This is my favorite, most used spatula, and I own many. If you buy multiple Trudeaus, however, be cautious of the size. They aren't labeled well. The orange one is huge while the blue one is quite small. The green one is a perfect spoonula size, but I had crackage issues with that one and didn't rate it well. More Reviews 
Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens.
