Customer Reviews of Lodge Max Temp Handle Mitt, Black
Customer Rating: Summary: A little Loose Fitting Comment: I used this for the first time today and found it very functional, although a little loose fitting. Be careful when lifting the heavy skillet so that the hangle doesn't turn within the mitt. After five minutes, I mastered the technique. Customer Rating: Summary: You can't go wrong Comment: These are great quality and really protect you from heat. They slip on easily and make for a comfortable grip, too. What more is there to say? You can't go wrong. Customer Rating: Summary: Too small to use Comment: Maybe I don't know how to use these mitts, but they are tiny--too small to put your hands inside and too small to wrap around the handle to use. I don't understand their use. I unwrapped them before really looking at them or I would have returned them. Customer Rating: Summary: Hot temp pot handle mitt Comment: These are great for all pot handles, but especially for iron skillets. I bought six for both myself and as gifts. We all love them. I've seen these online for as much as $12.00 each . . . I only paid $6.00 each, so search carefully before you buy! Customer Rating: Summary: HOT HANDLE HOLDER Comment: VERY HANDY. WELL MADE.INSULATION IS GREAT. MUCH NEEDED WITH CAST IRON PANS. WILL CHECK THIS COMPANY OUT FOR MORE PRODUCTS. More Reviews Heavy-duty Pyrotex outer fabric resists scorching and burning. Steam barrier, heavy cotton batting, and thick terry lining all combine to provide ultimate heat protection. Protection to 650 degrees F. Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible. Also, you should consider buying a non-stick silicon sheet: they make baking very easy! Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Lodge Max Temp Handle Mitt, Black Kitchen tips -> Cooking sweet corn Do not add salt to the water when cooking sweet corn because the salt will toughen the corn. Add a little sugar to the water to boost the flavor. |
