Customer Reviews of Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Half Pint Serving Kettle
Customer Rating: Summary: Useful, nifty, and just a bit witchy Comment: I bought it because it looked cute. Then I got it. I squeed. It's a nice, small, kettle. A little cauldron, suitable for burning incense, planting flowers, serving gravy, or just looking cool on your knick-knack shelf. Got a friend who's into gothic or witchy stuff? This makes a real nice, inexpensive, but durable, gift for that person. Buy several, plant low-water plants in them, and give them to friends. Even if the plants die, they still have a durable pot that the cats can't break. My kittens have knocked mine over several times, and there's not even a dent. Warning: this great little item may trigger an addiction to cast iron cookware and decorations. More Reviews These rustic, cast iron kettles hold garnishes for your fajitas and chili. Fill them with onions, cheese, cilantro and more. They sit on tiny pedestal feet and come with side handles for lifting and passing. Handwash. Each 8-oz. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes.
